My most memorable day from fishing. Many thanks to Davy from LH for introducing this lure to me. This will be the last post for now. Not sure when I will get to fish again, hopefully soon. =D

Just came back from a short morning trip, it will be the last few ones before i enter NS this friday. Hope to fish for the next 2days or so. Anyway, got this lure I would like to recommend.

Type: Jerkbait.
Introduced by Dave from LH as a twitch bait for luring queenies since I've lost my Rundam to TMFT. But after testing it at NS canel, I knew the erratic movements you can get by twitching the lure makes it a ideal lure for hunting Peacock basses. And how true it was, when I got a hook up on the third cast on this lure that day, sadly it threw the hook when it was near.
However, on today's trip, after complaining how the fishes don't seem to bite, *since we spotted them but they just didn't give a shit.* Erratic twitches on this lure works wonder.

Managed to entice this two to take the lure. Well, lost one goal keeper. Didn't strike properly, it's believed that it was remaining one of the pair that whacked but threw the hook before the 1/2 pounder took the lure. *Laughs*

Jackall Bros Giron. A lure that many lurers in Singapore sought after. Until the point that every tackle shop ran out of them, though I know a shop got some stash hidden away. *Laughs* Weighing at 22g, it may seem like a good lure to cast with, but having a large surface area and a jointed body, this lure can cost quite a bit of pain to cast with. However, it is a very suitable lure for skipping and pitching. As quoted from my friend, "At first look from a fish's point of view, the Jackall Giron is absolutely the meal to grab.
But the majority of the true Swimbaits are too big a mouthful for the local species.
When i first set my eyes on the Giron, i knew it was the perfect lure to fish with in our local scene.
Measuring at 93mm in length, it's the perfect bite size for many species.
As many would know, swimbaits in general do not cast well.
But do not worry as the lack in casting distance is backed by the amazing fish catching ability of the Giron.
I use the Giron mostly in Open clear water to search for fish or just right over/next to holding sturcture like jetties.
I've tried, used and fished with many kinds of swimbaits but i have not seen any with the same fish catching ability like a giron.
The Giron has a very tight and nice S-swimming motion when retrieved slowly.
When twitched, watch it glide from side to side in a very wide motion.
It is one of the most versatile swimbaits i've used as it is able to work with a vast style of retrieves.
Retrieve it your style, twitch it, rip it, it just works anyway.
The Giron was designed to target largemouth bass, the construction is absolutely solid enough to take all the punishment from fish.
I've never encountered any of fins chipping off or the hinges of the joints coming loose after some time of usage.
The Giron has earned a safe and definite place in my tackle box."

There are many more catches by Giron. The following one from Necroplastic, landing a beautiful Giant Snakehead.

After hearing and admiring all the beautiful catches this lure could bring, I begin my hunt for them. The first set of lure I got was the JDM lures that have more fanciful design, followed by the Thailand hand-made imitation- Guron, and a US Giron from a tackle website and from Necroplastic himself.

I've yet to land anything on these babies yet. Was only able to entice chasing from a mummy Giant Snakehead, a school of small baby Giant Snakehead, a small Tememsis at Macritche Reservoir. Two breeding Peacock Bass and a Giant Snakehead at NS canal. Still hoping to land a fish with it. Hope you guys enjoyed my little introduction for this lure. Tightlines always.
